Lexmark X4550 Refill Cartridge - Help Please!!

Hi,
We recently got the X4550 and it's run out of colour (after only printing about 20 photos!!!) so thought we'd try and refill them. Got the ink from ebay and OH has refilled them but the printer won't recognise that it's full. It says 'Not original Lexmark ink' or something like that. Is there any way we can trick it into thinking it has a new one?
Please help me as I have so much stuff I need to print out!!!!!

I dumped my Lexmark printer because of the cost of ink. My advice is to buy an Epson printer the inks are dirt cheap and last alot longer than Lexmark

Thanks for your advice but we had an epson before this lexmark and this is a far better printer. However, we have now found a site where the cartridges are less than half price so we shan't be faffing about trying to refill them.Murphy's No More Pies Club Member No. 680
