Tax credits. No longer eligible, change of address

Hello,

I used to receive working tax credits. I was self-employed but never managed to make much money so I received some tax credits. In January I reduced the number of hours I was working, this made me ineligible for WTC and I notified tax credits through the online system straight away. My tax credits stopped after the 4 week run on and I got an amended award through the post. In May/June I got the annual pack through the post to complete by July; I did this and got the usual paperwork after that.

A week ago I moved to a new area to live with my partner. Do I still need to notify tax credits of this? As above, I'm not receiving tax credits and I won't be making a claim for them again or for UC. If so, I haevn't been able to manage them online since I reduced my work hours and became ineligible.

Thanks in advance.

When you say you got the usual paperwork after that I am not sure what you mean.

I would tell them of your change of address anyway just because in case they need to send you any future correspondence.

  • Sorry, I wasn't very clear before. What I meant by 'usual paperwork' was a finalised award.

I would still tell them in case they need to send you anything in the future - for example if they want to review a past award.
