Sky have brought out an offer that suits my needs perfect but I dont qualify as I am an existing customer.
I have two qustions please
Has anyone as an existing customer successfully negotiated to swap to a new customer deal that would better suit their needs?
Also, would anyone know how long after I leave Sky I can rejoin as a new customer to benefit from new customer deals?
Thank you

I used to use a friends and family discount code, we had to wait 12 months (this is what our friend who worked for sky told us, dont know if its right?!) before we could use it in the same name so we would cancel and then set up in the other persons name (different surnames at the time) so we could get continuous deals. Well we where both friends of the person!
If theyve got you tied in to deal i cant imagine theyll be too forthcoming to sign you up to one thats better value for money without you willing to spend more. You might get the customer service argument but it doesnt seem to hold much weight with new customer deals.0 -
If you're not in contract just phone them up and ask for it, when they almost inevitably say no ask for a cancellation. If you are in contract you can still ask just don't get your hopes up. Always be polite and don't get bolshie as that will get you nowhere fast.0
