Revolut changed my account number.

Just wondering if anyone can help. I have a Revolut pre paid currency card that I haven’t used for around 12 months. I sent a transfer to this card last week using the details I had stored In my account and have used in the past to successfully transfer money onto this card. When the payment hasn’t arrived I have contacted Revolut and they told me that my account number and sort code changed in may this year and that the money will bounce back to my account in a few days which hasn’t arrived yet- will be a week on Wednesday. Anyone any experience if this is the case as I’m really panicking that I have lost the money. Nationwide won’t do anything just yet and said to wait and see if it bounces back first. I have never seen any correspondence to say my account details changed.

  • No need to panic - it'll bounce back after a few days when it can't reach it's destination. The change in account numbers is a result of Revolut changing the underlying bank they use to process payments. There were plenty of emails and app notifications regarding this a number of months back from memory.
