My suspicion is that the original cause was the CPU cooler failing, which has then led to the issues.
That was the first thing that was replaced, with the mobo and CPU subsequently being replaced/repaired. No issue with the RAM matching. By 'on the edge,' do you mean of it's performance? Again, if so then it's well within range.0 -
What do you mean by "the PC would start and then shortly after it would crash"?
How far into the startup process did it get? Were there any beeps (these can actually tell you whats wrong with it)? What happened when it crashed?
There are dozens of things it may be. Could even be the PSU degrading and no longer having the juice to cope with the overclock (if it is that, it will eventually fail to start on stock also).
