Sticks like sh*t/no more nails - advice on battens please

Hi,
I've got a problem to solve... I've just moved into a new build and I need to store 2 road bikes. I don't want to use the shed for security reasons.
I have a cupboard where the bikes can be attached using this thing called a 'Clug' (which is basically just a small square which grips the front wheel)
The Clug needs to be screwed into a wall - I've used a stud/wire detector and there are wires all behind the wall.
The wall is plasterboard. The studs are not in the right place for fitting the Clugs.
So I think putting up a batten is the best option.
Could I use something like 'no more nails' to fix the batten?
The bikes won't be hanging, so not much weight involved.
Advice/help please!
Thanks so much

Should be fine to use a grab adhesive to hold the batten. Weight would have been an issue but you state there won't be any stress on the batten so should be fine.0

The glue may be strong enough but if the wall is painted the glue just sticks to the watered down contractors paint which probably will result in the bikes ending up on the floor.
Fix a batten with screws to the studs as above said.0 -
Another option would be to use Corefix Cavity Wall Fixings, see: https://www.corefixed.com/The comments I post are my personal opinion. While I try to check everything is correct before posting, I can and do make mistakes, so always try to check official information sources before relying on my posts.0

The OP has said there are wires behind the plasterboard. Presumably the reason they don't want to drill and/or use screws is to avoid the risk of hitting the wires.0

Sticking something direct to a plasterboard wall will only give a good, permanent result if the loads are small and not localised. It's only as strong as the cardboard outer, or maybe just the paint, as someone else said.0 -

Thanks - my only concern is that there is wiring behind the wall - will it be safe if attaching directing to the stud?0 -

If you using a type of glue, might be better to go for a better brand that has greater adhesive strength than no more nails.0
