Good Morning,
Im hoping you wonderful people will be able to help with an issue i am currenty having trying to re-claim PPI for my deceased father from Tesco Bank for a loan he had, i have sent the releveant letter to re-claim & was told i needed to send a copy of his death certificate & proof of executers which i have provided in the form of his will.
I then recived another letter from Tesco saying they needed either the original or a certified copy of the will, unfortuanlty i dont have the original will to send, but the copy i sent i have used this for other financial issues without a problem. I dont have a certified copy as both my father & mother did their own will.
If any one can help me out with how i can proceed with the claim with out an origianl copy of the will.
Thank you in advance.

It’s a complaint, not a claim, but that’s by the by.
Every lender has their own AML requirements and if Tesco need original or certified copies, you’ll not have much joy without them. Comparing other lenders policies to theirs won’t help either as it’s completely irrelevant to anything.
Regardless of your parents doing their own wills, certified copies can be obtained of any doscumebt if you have the original. I fear you may be up slack alley if you can’t source the originals or a certified copy from the solicitor or wherever else.

it's spelt d-e-f-i-n-i-t-e-l-y
there - 'in or at that place'
their - 'owned by them'
they're - 'they are'

It is normal for firms to request the original Will unless certified by the solicitor that drew the Will up.0
