laura it may not show on one credit report but there are 3 that you need to check ~ see here http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/banking/credit-rating-credit-score#check
the only other option you have is to phone the company involved, however if its over 6 years old its status barred so watch you dont re activate it :rolleyes:0 -

Hi Postingalwaysposting can you explain to me what you mean by saying if it is over 6 years old its status barred so watch you don't re-activate it?

Hi, just a few bits of advice about your monthly outgoings.
- I have been using washable nappies on 8 month old now for 4 months. Works out cheaper, just use a disposable at night. Even the cost of washing them at 60 deg is cheaper than disposables. You can buy them pretty cheap on ebay, or get terry nappies from mothercare. Maybe even look on freecycle see if anyone has any they have finished with?
- baby clothes - I got loads given for my boy, then I will pass them onto my nephew, do you not know anyone with similar age/sized children you can become part of a pass down ? We also buy good quality but cheap clothes at car boot sales and charity shops (we got 3 mothercare cardigans for £1, like new). Like you say, they dont fit them long, so dont spend too much.
- your food bill looks a bit high if it doesnt include babyfood and nappies and is just for 2 adults. Do you cook? Its much cheaper than ready meals. Buy things on offers, or go to Lidl if there is one near you, they do amazingly fresh veg. We stock up on smart price rice, pasta, lentils and we make fresh sauces with Lidl fresh veg.
Thats all I can think of for now, but hope it helps.0 -

Rent - £350
Council Tax £102
Home Ins £15
Buses - £40 - Is this for work? or pleasure?
Sky £25 (contract) - How long left?
Water £20
Electric £60 - I assume you have no gas and that is why this is high?
Tv £15
BT - £15
Mobiles - £20 - Contract or PAYG?
Baby Milk/ Nappies etc - £50
Food - £200 - This is rather high and you could bring this down a lot with budgeting and meal planning
Child maintenance to DFs other daughter - £125 - Has this been re-assessed since you have a child?
DFs loan - £175 - How long left? APR?
Credit card - £20 - - How much outstanding? APR?
Catalogues - £20 (approx £150 on these over all) - APR?
in total 1252
Incomings
Child Benefit - £72
DF Wage - £980
Tax Credits - £298
Have you enquired about housing benefit / Council Tax benefit
Total 1350
The resaon I ask about the mobile and sky is that I presume you have a landline so you can have sky? Once your sky contract is up, switch to freeview, get rid of landline = saving of £40 per month.
The apr's of your outstanding loans are important to know. I would guess that the catalogue is probably quite high so may be the one to focus on getting rid of.
Look to switch the credit card (although this may be difficult if there is an outstanding loan which you have trouble with)0
