Slightly Over Overdraft

Hello!

Due to an oversight (and slight overcharge) I'm now 25p over my overdraft.

I flailed and panicked at a friend who told me that it's apparently illegal to charge you if you're less than a pound over.

Is this true? I'd be very grateful if anyone could help me :) Thanks!

Banks have charged penalties to customers for small breaches of similar amounts. You need to speak to the bank and see if they intend to charge you. If this is the first time it has occured, you should be able to get them to waive any charge if you ask them nicely.
