developer suggested land sale in parcels

  • Unless the parcel of land is completely surrounded by your land there will be potential access from somewhere.

Potentially he just wants the land and has no intention of buying your house because he might be buying some of the land on the other side.

sorry - don't normally say this, but there is absolutely no way this is in your interest. i don't know how, I don't know when, but he is not doing this for your mutual benefit. He is doing it for his own benefit. it will not bother him if you end up out of pocket or in a difficult legal position that would mean you could lose value in your house

if you don't want to pay a professional who will be on your side, then I suggest you will end up paying a lot more to the professional who is not on your side.
I think I saw you in an ice cream parlour
Drinking milk shakes, cold and long
Smiling and waving and looking so fine
  • If you are serious about inheritance planning speak to an IFA not a property developer who would seem to be suggesting a highly dodgy tax evasion scheme.

wouldnt a land agent tho take a massive huge cut, or want less to get deal finalised.
Esp if im at a price im happy with, was just weather or not these are commonly known legal deals etc

Is that what the developer told you?

It's not at all my experience of land agents.

You sound like you trust the developer 100% - even though their interests are 100% opposite to yours.

You really need to take professional advice from somebody who is on you side - and looking after your interests.
  • I would be worried he buys the garden and some other land next to the garden not yours. You could potentially end up with a tiny garden living next to a building site and eventually have neighbours in what was once your garden. Sell it as one deal if you decide to sell at all and for gods sake get a good professional on your side independent of the developer
An answer isn't spam just because you don't like it......

You asked for advice and have been consistently told to get professional advice.

But you are ignoring that advice for £££££££s signs.

    You may regret it.
