Permitted development deadline extension

We have a barn conversion underway, although in very early stages. It’s planning status is “prior approval not required under permitted development”. The usual deadline for completion (3 years) is soon approaching.

Does anyone have any experience/knowledge of whether getting an extension to this deadline (say 12 months) is possible without starting the whole prior approval process from the start?

Class Q I take it?

Extensions are tricky without going to full planning, are there any conditions if so have they been lifted?

If all is in place id just get on and build, the definition of finished under class Q is ambiguous an authority is extremely unlikely to revoke permission on a half finished project (unheard of I believe).

If you go to full planning its possible you could lose the permission altogether, there's even been cases of revocation of prior approvals.
