Tree root intrusion and insurance cover

Hi
9 years ago my parents had tree root intrusion into their drains which was all dealt with by the insurance company and related to a tree on a neighbouring property which was removed and destroyed.
This year my parents are trying to get insurance and most of the insurance companies dont want to know (I'm guessing this is a new exclusion on insurance policies for this year)
The problem no longer exists as the root and the tree have been removed!
Can anyone suggest any reputable insurance companies that will cover an exclusion from 9 years ago!

Get an insurance broker who you can explain to them"It is prudent when shopping for something important, not to limit yourself to Pound land/Estate Agents"

Legal & General might be worth contacting, but would need all information.
And you don't really appear to know what the issue is ?
Is it a case that your parents have searched for quotes using their postcode and none or few Insurers are quoting ?
It might be that the postcode is noted as higher risk and therefore quotes are not available online. Therefore your parents need to call Insurers or Brokers to obtain quotes. The comments I post are personal opinion. Always refer to official information sources before relying on internet forums. If you have a problem with any organisation, enter into their official complaints process at the earliest opportunity, as sometimes complaints have to be started within a certain time frame.0
