completely stuck and have no idea what to do next!

hi all,

as youve probaly seen from the title, i am stuck, and in a right mess.

or perhaps its just me thinking i am in a mess when i am not.

i have direct debits that are going out monday, but was only paid £194.97 from my new employer, which the bank said would clear in two days, now i take it they mean two working days.
i took the cheque in yesterday to the bank

i currently have my housing officer on my case as i have arreras on my account as my housing benefit was stopped a while ago for some time which let arrears stack up on account, and housing officer has mentioned to me if i dont sort something they will start issuing letters, to then esculate things.

i have nearly maxed out on both credit cards (one credit card only has £12.08 available left to spend )

i have no savings.

really dont know what to do, my head is spinning writing this post, and i have no family around me to help, also suffer bad from depression and mental health.

thinking about just moving asap to somewhere more affordable which isnt going to cost me £678 approx in rent a month, which by the looks of things with how my housing stands i would be fully liable to pay.

but the thing is how would i stand with the initial costs of moving elsewhere with no back up money? arghhhhhh.

before my job i had now, i was working for amazon courier driving and hired one of their vans, well my van was damaged by somebody which no one knows who has damaged it and the cost is £1,794.82 in repairs.

with the cost of repairs, they will take the money from amazon which is 3 weeks in arrears, which i dont completely get with my head spinning round day in day out, then what ever is outstanding to pay they would set up a payment plan with myself.

pretty certain there isnt going to be a lot of money paid to me if anything how the company treated me.

i am thinking about £800.00 would be left on my shoulders, which to be honest is still far to much considering i never caused the damage in the first place.

im not willing to post the ins out outs of my stuggles on here as i know there will be some not nice replies, which i have already had on some of my previous posts which i don't need at the moment.

' I AM LOOKING FOR HELP'

please help and advice me what to do.

from there its down to me to sort it i know.

thanks so much if you can understand my post, and able to give assistance on what to do next.

Why is the damage to the van not covered by insurance?

If there is not enough money in your account and you do not have an authorised overdraft available then the direct debits will fail.

What happens then will depend on the bank- who might charge for it- and the company who may or may not try again. They may levy a charge non payment.

If it is for services they may be cut off for non payment.

Stepchange may be able to help you sort things out.

    Hi Bendy1224,

Sorry to read about the problems you are currently having. Your focus needs to be on paying your housing rent. All other bills can be skipped. You also have the option to cancel the DDs in online banking. Your housing is the priority.

I suggest you visit the main Debt-Free Wannabe (DFW) boards for advice, guidance and support. It will be very helpful to see your Statement of Affairs (SOA).

You will not be judged on the DFW board. You will just receive quality advice and support. :)
I work within the voluntary sector, supporting vulnerable people to rebuild their lives.

    I love my job
