What Is Your Meter Reading Day ?
Options
Mine's today - for both gas and electric. Read this morning and my spreadsheet updated; suppliers both updated online.
Both are in credit this month - steadily building up ready for the winter.
Flow always email me a reminder; Zog don't.

Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill

When I remember. Usually a Sunday. Any time between one or two months, when it vaguely crosses my mind I've not done it for a while. No spreadsheet. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -
Hi,
I read both on 15th, because DD comes off on 13th, then update spreadsheet, got a nice credit built up heading into winter, no worries.0 -
Every Saturday, and also the last day in the month (to ensure I do not get an estimated bill from Zog). Update the spreadsheet, check my DD amount and alter if necessary,0

I'm a sad git.
It gets read every Monday morning and on the first day of every month and the results go into my spreadsheets.
I also read it on the accounting day for my supplier (which at present is 6th of the month) and send the readings in so that the monthly statement truly reflects my account - I then download and save a copy of the statement which appears a couple of days later.
I've just swapped suppliers - effective date 2/09/2019 and the meter will be read and photographed and the readings will be sent into both the new and the old supplier.
I'll then monitor progress very carefully to ensure that they both use the same reading and ensure that I get a final closing bill from Eversmart (and my slight overpayment refunded within a reasonable time).
A new spreadsheet has already been set up for my new supplier - Symbio who will also get a monthly reading on their accounting day when I find out what it is.Never under estimate the power of stupid people in large numbers0 -
Every Saturday morning.
Since my latest house move I don't have to go outside in the cold to read them either, but I'm grappling with an electricity meter with dials for the first time in ages!
Edit: Just updated the spreadsheet for this week - gas used for water heating was 52kWhr this week.0 -

Stop grappling, go smart, didn't think there were still dial meters on the go.
LOL - I'm sure that's inevitable soon, but will see how we get on with Symbio first.
At least my brain gets a workout once a week!0 -
I was bored at the end of last year, so rewrote my spreadsheet.0
