Shower pump

Quick question for any plumbers out there - ground floor flat with a shower fed from the bath( as per some hotels) with a lever to activate shower. As the cold tank feeding the hot water system is only about 18 - 20 inches higher than the shower head there is not enough pressure to use properly.
I intend fitting a Salamander CT force su pump either a 2bar or 3 bar just to boost the hot pressure. I realise that I'd have to fit a reducing valve to the incoming mains. Can anyone see any problems with this?
It would have to be a universal pump as the head is minimal. is this correct? Checked with a couple of pump manufacturers and got differing advice. Just to confirm all the hot water comes from gravity fed tank and all cold water is(obviously) mains pressure.
