As mentioned in my new floor fitting thread

Today I have been left without use of Kitchen as considerable amount of insects have been found by floor fitter intending ton fit new flooring.
This pet type control isn't covered under home Emergancy

I am disable with M.S. -is there any one else I could contact as my flat wont be safe until this is treated -most pest company's are unavailable today -1st of which intends to call me back since I sent a photo whilst they determine if they can treat as required.

I only have contents and home Emergancy -both don;t cover this
Buildings insurance is under Factors -could be Monday at earliest and 250 excess-is this my next step

Thanks in advance

What insects are they that make the kitchen unsafe to use?
All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.

Carpet Beetles, does this mean they originated from hall carpet which I was planning on renewing next year.
Meanwhile home contents+Emergancy don't cover these pests.
Since booked over night stay a few mins away until Mon morning at my own cost -much safer than weekend with no kitchen facility's

    Thanks

I think you have maybe over reacted a bit in moving out. We've had ants and mice in our kitchen at various times over the years and easily survived until we got rid whilst still using kitchen and not moving out.

    Thanks mser's

Nice break over weekend and to be fair I did manage to return washer dryer from bedroom to kitchen.
Only Took break option as pest people are booked 9 a.m. Monday.

Your flat is safe now...it may be less so when the pest people spray it on Monday!
