Seems one of the two free horse-race picking sites has closed again (one got taken over a year or two back after another closed), now if you try to go to Lucky 7 you just hit;
https://lucky7.williamhill.com/improvements
Which simply says;
"The game is now closed. We're sorry, but there will be no further games of Racing Post Lucky 7."
A little sad as I used to have fun picking all the silliest names I could find on both sites, had become a tradition with my partner!
Has anyone spotted if yet another site has sprung up to replace it as last time, or are we now only with the ITV one ("Pick7") ?

Neither myself or Mr GB have been able to enter for a few months now. It seems we weren't alone as when I searched other MSEers had the same problem, but none of us could get a resolution or even contact with their help / support services.
So we stick with the crazy names on the ITV pageWorse things will have happened in the world today..."The only thing that really matters, it to love and to be loved."0 -

Ah this was because they had changed their ummm, backend thingies for accounts - basically they decided (or the regulators told them, though not sure why ITV seem fine) that they couldn't verify the people doing the free horsies were legally of gambling age JUST from basic site registration - they actually "locked-out" all accounts (and it gave a weird error if you tried to sign in after), unless you contacted support and gave them proof of age/ID.
I only know this as my Mum used to do it, and phoned me up one day when it changed asking for help - my account worked fine as I had an actual "betting" account I had used for Grand National betting once a year (and so never had the problem, I guess as the fact I had put money into it "proved" i was of gambling age, or something).
Anyway, it was all done messily - they didn't contact anyone telling them this was the case, there was no message on-screen when you tried to login with a "basic" account telling you that you needed to contact support, it was just some obscure error message, and most people didn't really want to send a scan of a passport/driving license to them just to enter a free competition to pick horsies! And like I say - ITV one doesn't have this requirement, so not sure why the WilliamHill one suddenly did.
Just saying all this in case you were ever curious as to *WHY* it stopped working one day some months back!0 -
I haven't been able to enter for months but still get their emails and can't unsubscribe from them because when I try it tells me I'm not subscribed.2018 - £562 2019 - £130 2020 - £276 2021 - £106 2022 - £1400

Depends how the site chooses to verify, they can ask for documents in all cases or only for those who fail online checks - I believe ITV uses Skybet to run theirs so it will be them who will run account verification.0 -

Like many other MSEers, we could never get a response from the Help TeamWorse things will have happened in the world today..."The only thing that really matters, it to love and to be loved."0
