unexpected tax credit payment

Has anyone else had one? I only noticed late last night so unable to call them. I had recently made them aware of my husband's drop in income this year and they adjusted my payments and sent me through a letter yesterday which matches my schedule of payments on the government gateway, I just don't know where or why this extra payment of £60 Has been made.
I get very nervous about tax credits and ensuring I'm not claiming more than I should was just hoping someone may have an idea??
Thank you

The only way to be sure is to ring them next week.
Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Some rules may be different in other parts of UK.
  • Sorry I posted to rashly, and didn't realise they were open Saturday's. it was a payment from last year hence it wasn't on my current schedule if anyone else has had the same.

They usually make the odd extra payment when they recalculate your award, it's nothing to worry about. :)
