Conservatory Roof

Sorry to hijack the thread but we are in the process of trying to sort our conservatory out. we currently have a polycarbonate roof , we have been quoted £16500 to change the roof to an ultraframe tiled roof with 2 glass panels also all the windows and door. the price also includes plastering out all the internal walls and ceiling also electrics with 10 led spots. question is is that a reasonable price? conservatory is 3 m by 4 m.

its also south facing.

Your best bet is to get two more quotes and see how they stack up.

That's pretty much the price I paid (I think it was £17k) to have an old, smaller conservatory bulldozed, the slab broken up, new foundations put in and a new 3m x 4m conservatory built in its place. Two walls re-plastered, the floor tiled, two sliding patio doors and a proper internal door through to the kitchen. It was four years ago.

My brother had an insulated lightweight tiled roof installed on his conservatory at their old house, made it useable all year round. We ate Christmas dinner in it one year.

erm no thats an insane price, i had a quote of 5k for a only slightly smaller conservatory.

Hi I find that hard to believe we payed more than that when we had it built 13 years ago.
