Two PCNs for the same situation

Good Evening,

Having read through quite a few threads here that were a bit dated I would appreciate an update/feedback on the current situation with PCN's at East Midlands Airport.

My wife came to pick me and my son up late at night and she stopped at one of the side roads to Viscount Rd, opposite departures.

Of course she got clocked by the traffic enforcement unit.
What we didn't know until now is that she was photographed by two units, 30 minutes apart.
Now we have two PCN's totalling £200.

Fair play, she parked in bad place and I can stomach one fee...but the second one is a bit much.

Is that company likely to invalidate the second one if I write to them or are they money grabbing "I don't care" types? (I think I know the answer to that)

Advice is very much appreciated.

Marcin

    Exactly what they are like

Chances are bylaws apply , like at RHA and LJLA , so treat them the same way , even though it's EMA

These only started recently at EMA so there isn't much history , hence why you look at VCS threads for LJLA and RHA

Appeal as keeper , using the blue text template from the newbies sticky thread near the top of the forum, expect both to be rejected , same as the other airports

Do not reveal the driver! PM me if you get a court claim at this site pls
  • Thank you.

I have read the letter template in blue and it doesn't seem to apply to my situation.
It only lists PDT machine and overstay.
My car was parked in a non designated space by the looks of it.

Like I mentioned, I can stomach paying once for silliness but not twice for the same thing, which I want to get away with.

Also I'm not sure I understand bylaws...is that legally binding then or?

    Just follow guidance.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

you need to read through the newbies thread to find relevant sections and search the forum for similar threads as mentioned ...

HOW TO USE THE FORUM SEARCH FUNCTION:

Use the Forum Jump button (one near the top and one near the bottom of this page) to get back to the forum thread list. Just above the threads, on the right, is a heading along a line, next to forum tools, called 'Search this Forum'. Put your key word(s) in and change the default search from 'Show Threads' to 'Show Posts'.
