Quickquid reclaim

Hello,

I complained to QuickQuid for irresponsible lending in 2018. They sent a final response to say they don't believe they are in the wrong. I sent my complaint to the FOS but (yes it was my fault I didn't read it properly) it was outside the 6 month time limit so they can't help.

I really feel that I am right, is there anywhere else I can go with this or is it game over?

    The FOS won't entertain it given the timescales and the courts are less likely to uphold it than the FOS, in fact they almost certainly won't.

    I don't see who else you can go to for compo?

    Did you repay the loan or did it default?

    The FOS are the complaints resoloution service set up by government, you must take your complaint to them within 6 months of obtaining a final response to your complaint.
    To be fair to both sides, these timescales are not flexible, if you are out of time, then you are out of time unfortunatly.

    You still have the option of making a moneyclaim against them, however you will need to evidence why you think you are owed this money, which will be more difficult as the courts will not look into an unafordable lending claim, like the FOS would, its a simple do they owe you money or not process, in other words the claim would be easy to defend as they would just produce the credit agreement, confirm correct checks were done etc, and its very likley the court would side with the creditor under those circumstances.

    Additionally, the above link discusses the possibility of "exceptional circumstances" which might allow OP to put in a complaint after the 6 month time frame is up.

    But given the way that the OP has written their post, it sounds like neither of the above are applicable.

    Thanks for this. When the FOS sent me their response it did mention about the lender having to make me aware I had 6 months. I thought "Bingo I've got them" but reading the reply from QQ they have put that at the bottom of their response, I just didn't read it.
