Sadly that isn't how it ends up working.
People come here and ask for "advice" and are told correctly that they're stuffed and some random (usually new) poster tells them what they want to hear and that seals the deal.
And we're all wrong.

Their argument would be that their checks ensured funds went to someone they believe would pay it back - and she did.PPI on loans taken out many moons ago, often fully repaid prior to the PPI reclaiming madness begun.
OP had the right to refer their complaint to the FOS and there was a fair chance that it would have been upheld with the FOS, depending on the specifics of course!
Where is the irresponsible lending here?
