Megadeals.limited

Hubby ordered something from megadeals.limited or £50 , when the item came it was the wrong item and broken and on checking the bank account they had taken £175 !.

Unable to contact them i have gone through the bank to do a charge back which was successful however they have until October 28th to fight it .

They have a UK registered address but are based in Malta but the tat they send out seems to come from China .

Today two more of the broken items arrived !! No idea what they are playing at but has anyone had dealings with them ?

No experience and not that it helps now, but always check a company out before ordering from them.
The fact that they're based in Malta makes life much harder for you.

And take a look at reviews on Trustpilot
Most of the good reviews are from people who have made an order and not actually received the product.
If the reviews seem dodgy, then the company almost certainly is.

The sales location for the products is always Guangzhou, China.

A little worrying. So it could cost somebody £15-20 to send their package back.

    It also says:

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item with registered mail. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.

It's a little difficult to tell, but it looks like they will only partially refund you if you send something back (ie they deduct some of the original postage cost).
Depending how much they charge for this, with the cost of sending them back the item, you won't see much back from a £50 item.

The charge back seems like the only way to go.

Stick with the chargeback as if you send it back as pointed out you will be charged
  • There's a FB page apparently they have been at it a while ! Someone paid £75 to sent their items back .

Although the bank said it wasn't necessary to cancel his card we have just in case !

If nothing else i think he will be more careful in the future .[hopefully ]
