Re - Buy now pay later - when is it reported?

Hi,

Sorry if i'm in the wrong section!

Looking at getting a laptop from Very on BNPL (i need it to work unfortunately) my Mortgage completes next week and i've heard that they credit check again before completion.

If i got it on BNPL & it was delivered tomorrow would they instantly report it to creditsafe or would it be next month?

I already have a line of credit with Very which has a balance of 0 it's more using the line of credit i am worried about.

Creditsafe are similar to Noddle, Equifax etc.

The credit checks will have been done when you opened your account, not on every subsequent purchase you make with that account.

Thanks - but when would the credit that has been used be reported to the credit agencies?

That really depends how quickly they update their reports. It probably won't be until after your next account statement and payment date at least.


Even then I think it would be very strange for the price of a laptop on your Very account to scupper a mortgage application.
