I'm back from minor injuries with no explanation for my ankle injury! The nurse practicioner was baffled too though reassured me that there's no fractures - that I knew already. Concensus seems to be it's the tendons / muscles. Anyway, the pain has subsided enough for me to drive. Nurse said to not wrap the ankle.
The wait was only about an hour so I spent the time reading happily. On the way home I dropped off some stuff at the CS and collected my own meds.
DM managed to cook her own porridge when I was out. I had laid everything out ready for her so she trundled the bowl down to the living room on her Zimmer 'bucket' which has a lid. :rotfl:
I'm off to read more of my book.
Taff - so sorry to hear about your Dad, my thoughts are with you. It's all so exhausting.0 -
Hi everyone
I saw a really good movie last night - Rocketman - biopic of Elton John -- it was really enjoyable but very sad. I've started volunteering at our local theatre/cinema, so a free night out for collecting tickets. I've signed up for a few more shows too.
Youngest DD spent most of last night at the hospital with baby grand daughter - she pulled her feeding tube out again. They didn't get home till 2am so baby is having a sleepover with me tonight so DD can get some rest.
I had a smear test this afternoon, which wasn't particularly pleasant, but necessary. The nurse said they get more uncomfortable when you're over 50...so that explains it then!
Been a blustery day here today and a lot cooler - it looks like summer has disappeared0
