Thanks for getting back to me so swiftly
I suppose what i'm getting at is, what is the worst case scenario if i don't pay now.
I think its important to be clear on both the best case and worst case as no one can guarantee i'll win in court as i'm sure not everyone has won their case on this forum
I would like a clearer picture to then be able to make an informed decision.0 -
The vast majority of posters here win. Worst case scenario should be £100 plus some costs. Worst case costs £60 court fees plus £50 legal fees. These aren't always awarded.
Even in a worst case you should be able to argue the ticket down from £160 to £100.
With a proper forum assisted defence the loss rate is at worst less than 20%.

Losing in court and paying about £175 or £200 tops, no CCJ and no damage done at all to your credit rating. And very rare on this forum! Thanks for getting back to me so swiftly

True, but it doesn't matter, there are no repercussions for the odd losing poster.no one can guarantee i'll win in court as i'm sure not everyone has won their case on this forum
I suspect you were thinking you would face huge court fees and a CCJ. We risk none of that, which is why you see us helping people to defend every case, even the shaky ones.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

thanks - great responses
I think i'll wait now and see where it goes as £160 now or circa £200 later is no big deal
I assume getting it down to £100 at this stage is difficult, do they tend not to listen to anything you have to say at this stage?
Also i didn't appeal, does that go against me? anything i can do now?
The car park is now a staff car park for the hospital and the retail store is closed, would that help my case at all?
I was unemployed at the time of receiving the parking ticket and only recently started working, does that help my defense?0 -
PPCs never 'listen' at any stage.I assume getting it down to £100 at this stage is difficult, do they tend not to listen to anything you have to say at this stage?
Unlikely to 'go against you'. No appeal now possible (other than a complaint to the landowner). Also i didn't appeal, does that go against me? anything i can do now?
Not at all.The car park is now a staff car park for the hospital and the retail store is closed, would that help my case at all?
Totally irrelevant.I was unemployed at the time of receiving the parking ticket and only recently started working, does that help my defense? Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

The forum is about to closed for an update but you can Google the company and find them in companies house.
You can also ask the Council ''who pays the non-domestic rates for this piece of land?'' which might reveal a UK Managing Agent.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
