Had valid parking when I received a fine

Hi all,

I received a parking ticket today. My parking ran out at 11.11, topped it up at 11.23. However they issued me the ticket at 11.30, so at that point I had valid parking. Are they able to fine me for a period of time retrospectively?

    Who is 'they' exactly? Council or company, if the latter, who?

    Have you read the NEWBIES thread, if this is a private parking 'firm'?

    In which case, you need to pop over to pepipoo for council advice. Read a few posts first to get the idea of what to post and DON'T sign up using a Hotmail address.

    Maybe they observed the car at 11:21 or 11:22 (10 minutes' grace) and started issuing the ticket then, only to complete at 11:30.

    Anyway, that's speculation. Pepipoo is the place to go.
