Can NCD be moved from one car to another?

I have 2 cars at the minute, one with full ncd, another with 1 years. Thinking about selling the car with the full ncd on it as I only really need one car - just wondered if it was possible to get the ncd moved over the car I am keeping?

    You would need to cancel the policy on the car you're keeping and then move the other policy over.

    You can but only at renewal time unless you swop your car over to the policy with full NCD. Are both policies with the same underwriter?

    After selling the car, get confirmation of NCD from insurance company and then call other company and apply higher NCD on other policy.

    No doubt this would incur a hefty administration fee and might not be worth the hassall

    Sell car, and terminate policy. Keep NCD proof safe.
    When policy on other car expires, take out new policy using NCD that's been sat for a few months.
