First letter is final demand

I recently rec'd a letter (from Horizon Parking if its relevant) telling me I had overstayed in my local Sainsbury's car park in Mid June.
However the letter I have says they have sent 2 others. I do not regularly have missing post so to lose 2 from the same firm is somewhat dubious, even suspicious.

Because the 'offence' was over 2 months ago I have no way of disproving, nor appealing (28 days), nor even paying the early payment (£42) which apparently has risen to £70 and now £80.

I use the car park regularly and have even overstayed on a few occasions. I could be guilty of this offence and had I got the first letter I probably would have paid, but now I have no idea, no shop reciepts, and a dirty taste in my mouth.
There is no evidence given in terms of times in/out.

Suck it up?
Ignore it?
Ask for the reduced rate due to lack of informing?
Pay it and write an angry letter to the BPA insisting all 'fines' are sent registered post?

You missed the most obvious answer

eMail the CEO of Sainsbury's and insist on a cancellation asap , adding a copy of the notice and proof of patronage and loyalty for their shops

Plan A is always a complaint to the top of the people who contracted the parking company

Also check your V5C has your name and current address on it, if it's wrong , get it sorted otherwise the DVLA can fine you £1000 , ditto for your driving licence too

plan B is appealing as keeper using the blue text template

As above, check the details on the V5, complain to Sainsbug's CEO, appeal to the scammers if this doesn't work.

In addition, edit your post to remove information about who parked. Only ever refer to The Driver and The Keeper, who are two different people. ;)
