Following on from this thread
https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6041074/weekly-monthly-and-other-multiple-end-date-comps
I have seen the following comp posted on the main board
https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6041799/e-02-09-win-baking-goodies-worth-over-800
It has a complete end date of 12/11 but they are giving away a prize each week for 10 weeks (open for new entries each Tuesday)
Feel free to ignore this thread but as not everybody enters every competition, I thought it might be an option to post a weekly comp to this thread if we see one. It's then not down to one person to maintain it but could prompt people to post the new weeks post as and when they see it??
Just throwing an idea out there.

All weekly and monthly entry comps should be posted as individual comps with an end date for the current week/month. They should then be reposted (by anyone) as a new comp for the following week/month.
If you see a weekly/monthly comp posted incorrectly with the overall promotion end date, then ask for the end date to be changed - in the first instance by sending a PM to the poster, and if this doesn't work, by sending a PM to one of the board guides.
comp 6041799 now has the correct end date of 02/09 and should now be reposted weekly on Tuesdays until it ends completely.0 -

This unfortunately isn’t happening though. I’ve seen posts stating op has been messaged and asked to change the end date to the overall end date for weekly comps. Even long standing posters who would remember the regs board are then doing as asked and changing the date. There’s posts at the minute that are enter each quarter with the final end date used in the title. There’s posts that have. Anew prize every week (which was always a contentious issue) posted with the final end date and not the weekly one.
I’m well aware of all the discussion that occurred prior to the the removal of the regs board. But now it’s been trialed with a new post every week and people are stating they’re posting overall end date so it doesn’t get missed the next week, is it time to ask do people prefer a post every week with a new end date or a bump every week to suit newly posted compers who would then see there is a new post in the thread, with a link in a regular thread the same way as the daily thread works to suit end daters who could then follow that thread so they don’t miss out?
I’ve also seen people reply pointing out that person x normally posts comps from site y when a different person has posted.
Maybe it’s as simple as we need a reminder posted on main board so it’s seen by everyone (because many don’t ever come in here) and a reminder that nobody owns the comps so anyone can post and (with the exception of mags) should not be informed someone else usually posts from that site?0
