Close or keep open credit card accounts

Hi all,

So when i've paid off my 3 credit cards which is due to be done before xmas. Is it best to keep them open with no balance or close them completely?

We're saving for a mortgage so want to know the best way of doing this.

TIA

Assuming you only have the three cards, keep the accounts and use for normal monthly budgeted items such as groceries and travel costs. Then pay off the full balance for each respective accounts, every month, after you have received the statements.

Doing the above will successfully build a solid history of credit account management, which lenders like to see.
