Sounds like simple friction/pressure plate, so not DMF or slave/release.0

I'm expecting a phone call today to book the vehicle in, so I will ask the question what was actually carried out.
If the DMF was not done - where, in your opinion would I stand here? I was led to believe that DMF and Clutch should be done at the same time. I did ask Customer Service this (I phoned again before to clarify the £150), he just stated that they will only change DMF if it is deemed necessary!
Somewhat anticipating this to be a losing battle being honest!0 -
Yes, it's a losing battle.
The clutch was probably changed under warranty, from the description - so they're not going to do all the surrounding "good practice" bits at the same time, because they're not the problem. The then-owner could have paid extra, but chose not to. The whole point of warranty replacement is to make good the results of a premature failure. The clutch failed, the other bits didn't, so replacing the failed parts takes it back to where it'd have been without that premature failure.
Alternatively, perhaps the owner simply wore the clutch out prematurely through their bad driving. Again, that doesn't necessarily shorten the life of the other bits.
Or maybe it actually is parts replaced then, in which case you'll be covered. We're guessing.0
