Calls over wi-fi are not free. They are included in the cost of the wi-fi connection.I am not a cat (But my friend is)1

Just been checking with Sky on this, free calls BUT 2p a minute connection charge, unless you are on free call package with them.
Someone has to pay for the terminated call,ie known as the final leg in telecoms.
It took me 15 mins with sky to get this answer,we no longer get itemised
bills,so cant check ourselves.
Fifteen minutes of talking to Sky and they still gave you duff info.0 -

Can you enlighten us then? What services are involved other than transporting a call?
I don't quite understand what you mean, assuming you don't mean "what other services are available on the internet?".
If it helps, a rough analogy would be that paying for electricity allows you to plug in and listen to a radio. But it would not be correct to say that the radio programmes are included in the cost of your electricity bill. The radio needs electricity to work but the programmes themselves are provided free of charge.0 -

Sorry, we are at cross purposes. I was simply pointing out that the "free calls" in the original post cannot be free as someone must be paying for the connection to the internet which transports them. I then asked you which other services were involved in the call.

Probably for the best.
You were making a very silly point.

No doubt you would argue MSE isn't free to use. Cost of WiFi, electricity, hardware, etc...1
