Credit history

Options
Martin said this morning that you can get your credit history for free, yes you can but only for 6 years, under the DPA it was destroyed by anyone holding it so if you are looking (like me for loans, mortgages and credit card data) from 1985-2000 forget it. Also few PPI claim sites ask for previous addresses longer than 6 years, I am 64 and had 4 addresses in the time of cards, mortgages and loans. 2 years ago I succesfuly claimed from Nationwide but it was a complicated part payout and I had to agree that I would not claim again. I have just put in a claim for my wife with the Halifax and it asked for all previous marriaed names and all addresses from 1995 when she had a joint mortgage with her previos husband. All credit to Martin for shouting about this for so long and I agree he should be knighted.

Erm, what is your post about exactly.

Oh and keep in mind your wife will need the involvement of her ex to claim for any PPI linked to the joint mortgagee
