MoneySavingExpert.com has launched its Emergency PPI Reclaim Kit, in a bid to ensure people don’t miss out on £1,000s.
The kit lists the bare minimum you need to do to get a claim started before the deadline at 11.59pm on 29 August (that's tomorrow night).
It also explains how in most cases a ‘check’ for PPI is enough to get a claim started, and flags where banks may close the reclaim window before 11.59pm (eg, some phone lines closer sooner than others).
Why not share with others if you are yet to claim but thinking of making a last-minute dash?

This bit is interesting "If you're doing it via our Resolver tool, we have it confirmed in writing from all the banks for whom a 'check if you had PPI' is enough, that doing it via Resolver counts."
I have to say that I found Resolver to be rubbish, but if everyone except Santander has agreed that a check via Resolver counts to beat the deadline, that might save a lot of heartache for anyone who is only coming to this this evening.0 -

I doubt there'll be any "heartache" though (maybe disappointment?).
In the last few months well over 50% of "complaints" received have been from people who never even had PPI.0 -

So nearly 50% of people did. Good on them :T I hope they were successful.0 -

Even those that did have PPI were not necessarily mis-sold.0 -

Plus submitting enquiries two or three times at the last minute...just to be sure! Madness! It's no wonder IT systems are struggling to cope0 -
