Very PPI

Options
I've found out I had PPI on an account, apparently starting in 2002, and ending in 2014.

Was Very even around in 2002?!

I'm pretty sure I was mis-sold - I was working for a temping agency until 2004, and I left to have my daughter.

I've received two letters from them. One asking for my marriage certificate as they name they hold doesn't match the name I gave, and another asking for proof of address for the same reason.

I've tried calling for more info but keep getting cut off after an hour on hold.

Has anyone successfully claimed PPI back from them? I still don't think I had it, despite them telling me otherwise.

Who told you you had it and why don’t you believe them?
    helpful tips
    it's spelt d-e-f-i-n-i-t-e-l-y
there - 'in or at that place'
    their - 'owned by them'
    they're - 'they are'
it's bought not brought (i just bought my chicken a suit from that new shop for £6.34)
  • I filled in a form for one of these company’s that does all the leg work. They came back saying they’ve found a Very account, and gave me the option for them to pursue it (for a fee) or I could continue myself.

I contacted very and they confirmed it.

I don’t believe it as it wasn’t, and still isn’t something I’d opt into. I wasn’t working regularly at the time, so wouldn’t have thought I’d meet the requirements to benefit from it had I needed it.
