Not received PPI cheque

Hi. I am looking for help for what to do if a company says they will give you PPI but have not received the cheque. I had two letters from Shop Direct Finance Company which agreed I had been mis sold PPI on two catalogue accounts. The letter says a cheque would arrive 3 weeks from the date of the letter but it has now been 7 weeks and I have phoned twice and told there was a delay on the first call and second call said they would trace the cheques and get back to me. I have tried to phone again but calls cut off after 40 minute wait. What can I do next to chase up these cheques? Thanks for help.

Keep chasing... the only other alternative is to involve the ombudsman however given their backlogs this could delay the payment for months.

Given the PPI deadline most firms are currently overstretched just give them some more time to resolve.
