1. 2009 Took out 2 credit cards. Virgin and Natwest. Limits c. 2,000. missed payments on all accounts chased by debt collection, eventually settled by one off payments. All more than 6 years ago. Now, no closed accounts showing on my credit history.
Sorted my life out with finances and in a much better place now.
Re a PPI claim, am I still eligible?
2. I have a further situation re EGG card taken out 2009, limit c 5000. missed repayments and defaulted eventually debt collection letters. Never settled, never acknowledged and never any repayments correspondence to the debt collectors. has been removed from my credit report over a year ago. Re a PPI claim, am I eligible? Will i be opening a can of worms?
Many thanks in advance for your time reading this.

Any successful complaint will go towards amounts outstanding. Even if you paid off the debt they will probably have not added all the interest of total amount t owing.Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi0

Re a PPI claim, am I still eligible?
You are able to raise a complaint. However, the lenders are also allowed to set off the redress against any unpaid debt. Including amounts written off as part of an agreed settlement. (e..g if the debt was £10,000 and they agreed to settle it with £6,000 - the £4,000 written off would allow the PPI redress to go against that rather than pay it to you).2. If this is not statute barred then you letting them know where you are could open that can of worms.
If it is statute barred, the lender can still set off the PPI redress against the debt.0 -
