Virgin money credit card help please.

Options
Hello, I’m sorry if this is a ramble I’m beyond panicking and not sure what to do.

I had a virgin money credit card and haven’t been able to afford the minimum payments so haven’t been paying it for the last 3 months and burying my head in the sand, I’m so embarrassed. I’ve logged on to make a payment today and it is saying my balance has reset to zero, does this mean the debt has been sold? What happens now?
I’ve tried to search online but there doesn’t seem to be much help out there. Please help, Thankyou.

I can’t at the minute. I will tomorrow but I was hoping someone would be able to help or has been through this and has any idea of what will happen

Creditors will often consider defaulting an account once it is 3 months in arrears. You should phone Virgin Money this evening to work toward a solution.

Thankyou, do you know what usually happens if they default the account?

Many creditors will pass the account to a Debt Collector once an account is defaulted.

Can a debt collector just turn up or will I get a letter/phone call first?

I am confused. You need to contact Virgin Money. That way, you can resolve your money problems without worry. Don't feel ashamed or embarrassed about it as these things happen all the time. You just need to take control of the situation and contact Virgin to find a solution. :)

FYI a debt collector will typically write to you in the first instance. But you don't want that to happen. You can knock this on the head with just one phone call. :)
