PPI wasnt being missold in the 80s. It barely existed back then.
Endowment policies cannot have PPI on them.
That is incorrect.
You can actually go back to the 80s if there is evidence still available. However, you may only be able to go back to 2005 if the company that sold the PPI was not regulated before January 2005 (the date insurance regulation started). There are other variations on the date as well depending on the distriubtion channel.
