Transco reconnection Fee
My daughter has recently bought a house the people who owned the house prior to my daughter had the gas supply cut off about four years ago, she has only just discovered this. She phoned British Gas who told her to ring Transco and ask them to reconnect her gas supply, she was told there would be a reconnection fee of £250 as the supply was cut off such a long time ago. Does anyone know if there is a way of getting round this reconnection fee, as I assume all gas suppliers have to use Transco.
