How to get all late payments replaced with defaults

Options
Hi all looking for advice please. So 2 and half years ago I had 3 creditors that I entered arrangements to pay with or self managed DMP.
2 of the creditors have logged AP against every month and 1 creditor logged a default. The lender who logged default reversed this and changed every month to a late payment marker. These debts were all finished last year and I’m debt free.
We are looking at a mortgage and no lender will touch us with these late payment and AP markers as these are seen as late payments also. However the broker has said if these 3 creditors had of defaulted is at the time I would now have 3 satisfied defaults over 3 years old and would be able to get a highly street lender.
Is it possible for me to request these late payments and arrangement markers are changed to a back dated default? This is literally the difference between getting a mortgage or not. Crazy as I would think paying before and trying to set up arrangements would of put me in a better light rather than just not paying and getting defaulted. Looking at the info normally defaults are placed when in arrears 3-6 months. These 3 creditors were payday loan companies. Is there any way of me getting this changed?
All advice welcome thanks in advance

There is guidance that says that accounts should be defaulted once they are 3-6 months in arrears.

Have a look at the guidance linked below. Request that your creditors follow the guidance. In particular pay attention to principles 3 & 4.

Edit: Just wanted to add that it should be possible to get a mortgage regardless of adverse data on your credit files. You would just need a good mortgage broker.

Ok great thanks. I have checked with the broker the lending criteria and even lenders at 5% won’t accept more than 6 consecutive arrears in last 24 months.

With defaults however that would be 3 years old now there are high street lenders that would ignore these. It’s mad as I’ve always seen a default as worse but in this instance if defaulted they would be 3 years old where are currently I have 2 years worth off late payments and arrangements markers from Feb 16-nov 18
