Do I need to let my insurance company know about this?

Hi
Hope someone can advise me please.
This morning I had pulled into a vacant parking spot and was just reversing to straighten my car up as it was slightly into the road still when a man drove in to park. He hit my car but caused no damage at all. His bumper was lose and had dropped. I had no damage so I have no claim to make. He informed me that he wont use his insurance and will just get it mended at the local garage. He did say he thought my car was a parked car and said sorry.
Do I have to let my insurance company know about the incident?
TIA

Yes, in case he claims you drove in to him, also need to report incidents as per your own Terms and conditions of your insurance
it will go down as a claim even though you didn't claim or someone claimed for you, your premiums may go up on renewal"It is prudent when shopping for something important, not to limit yourself to Pound land/Estate Agents"

I have let them know. They are putting it as a notification and it will not affect my policy unless he makes a claim. He did not take any details from me so I think he will just be getting it mended at the local garage like he said.
Sheila's wheels said should they hear from his company they will get in touch with me.
Thank you for the help.0
