Nip

Hi

My daughter was driving my company car when she was recorded speeding by a manned camera.

The incident happened on 16/06/2019 but I only received the NIP on 3/08/2019 and it was dated 31/07/2019.

Can I ask for it to be quashed due to time barring or do the police get extra time when the registered owner is a lease company to find out the details of the company leasing it and then the driver ?

I have been away on holiday so was unable to sort until I got back, so any speedy replies would be welcome.

Any help would be appreciated

Thanks

Steve

This is a private parking forum, we don't deal with speeding tickets.

However, our friends over on PePiPoo will be your best bet for speeding tickets. Register there (but please note that a hotmail address won't work - try using a throwaway gmail account instead if you do have trouble registering) and post a new thread; here's your link:

    http://forums.pepipoo.com/index.php?act=SF&s=&f=5

Have a read through some of the other threads there before you post your own to get the hang of what information they need from you in your opening post - but as a minimum you will need to post redacted photos/scans of all correspondence you've received from the police (both sides, if appropriate) as they need to see all the small print.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

There is no such thing as a registered owner. The first NIP has to go to the registered keeper within 14 days. All other NIPs can be much later. M

The question is who is named on the V5c and did they get the NIP within 14 days. Include the answer to that when you go to PePiPoo
