Am Ex, Standard life & friends provident

Greetings all,
Spurred by news this AM and though have had only 1 or 2 loans apart from mortgages have spent morning using Resolver (Thanks MSE) to see if we had any PPI on mortgages (Paid upfront charge each time)
Cant track down Standard life on resolver
Also only credit card ever had which I have paid for was AM EX who dont figure - because they are American maybe ?
Any ideas gratefully received

Wasn't the old Amex card you had to pay for, a Charge Card whereby you had to clear the balance each month thus no borrowing to pay PPI on.

Standard Life have never offered any upfront payment insurance as part of their product range.

Are you sure it was SL or not perhaps an estate agent/mortgage broker?
