‘My partner answered the door to the delivery team, so what I am giving you here is conjecture as I was not present, but she has told me the chap who knocked the door said ‘’is it alright to put it here?’’ (Here being the front car port/porch)’0

50% margin lol. Nowhere near.0 -

If it was 50% there'd be a bed shop on every corner. :rotfl:0 -
It'll be 50% GM at least on a per-product basis. (They sell the bed for £600, it cost them £300 to buy it in). The business wouldn't be viable otherwise.
That doesn't mean the business is making 50% profit though, as they'll have many other costs to factor in.
Other businesses will have different models ... for example, those that work in the service sector will sell products at low margin because the profit is made in the service side.0 -

You're confusing product margin with business profitability. My point was that in return for his £300 voucher, Dreams are only giving away a bed (or whatever) that cost them £150. That's why it's a mutually good outcome.0 -
Hi Gavin/all
I wasn’t present, but as I worded in my complaint to Dreams-
‘My partner answered the door to the delivery team, so what I am giving you here is conjecture as I was not present, but she has told me the chap who knocked the door said ‘’is it alright to put it here?’’ (Here being the front car port/porch)’
So your partner was asked if it was ok and presumably they said yes. You must be able to see how ridiculous it is that you expected them to deliver it to a room they weren't even told about.
Then you found a problem with the bed but felt you had to assemble it to be able to sleep on it and didn't even consider you could have just slept on the mattress on the floor.
It seem neither you or your partner have any common sense :rotfl:0 -
Excellent customer service from Dreams. Looks like the only nightmare came from yourself as you have done nothing but contradict yourself throughout this thread.0
