Tymit is now available to iPhone users, download the app and apply.

Play store users still need to get in the queue.

Although it sounds good in some respects, it also looks to have drawbacks. As it's not even been launched yet, I would not even consider going near it until it had been up and running for a year , by which time there will be plenty of reviews and comments from those who jumped in at the launch.

I opened an account today - took around 10 minutes from installing the app. It still feels like a beta - a purchase from Amazon worked fine but another that required Verified by VISA failed, because I never received the code that was supposed to have been texted to me.
Notifications of purchases are instant and the app is a decent first effort. I have still to hear back from Customer Support about the Verified by VISA failing.

As a guinea pig , I hope you will keep us informed of how the whole Tymit experiment works out. I repeat my earlier posting on this thread ie. I would not think of using Tymit until I have heard all the reviews over a year. Credit Cards are enough of a minefield already without walking into a new one where we have no indications of where the mines lie.

It's just a credit card. If there are insurmountable problems you can stop using it.

There's a little more to it than that, including the time and energy wasted, the affect it might have on your credit history, how difficult it might be to go back to Tymit in the future........plus more ,none of which I can be bothered to recount here.

Seems like this is just an issue with giffgaff. Verified by VISA OTP SMS works fine on other sites.

I have to admit that things haven't been plain sailing with Tymit. The giffgaff issue has now been fixed but there are other problems.

My physical card wouldn't work in ATMs or in card readers. ATMs just spat it back out after a few clicks and whirrs and card readers said "no chip detected". They sent a replacement which is exactly the same, so probably an issue with my account. I have a ticket open but haven't had a reply after 2 days.

I have two Amazon card authorisations on my account (where a company reserves a small amount to verify your account). These are still 'pending' long after they were on any of my other cards (Amazon say they will drop after 8 days, which they do on other cards). Worse still, they have been included in my monthly bill, despite Tymit saying not to worrry, I wouldn't be charged for them.

Maybe I'm a glutton for punishment but I'm not quite ready to throw in the towel yet - I'll give them an opportunity to fix these issues as they will probably benefit other customers.

    Just to share my experience.
I quick like FinTech so when I saw Tymit advertised on Twitter I thought id sign up after some research.  I've been trying to reduce my searches as my credit file said I had too many but I decided to go ahead.
The signup process was pretty easy on the app but it said it needed manually reviewed.  This was fair enough I thought.

4 weeks later it is still sitting at review.
Tymit seems to be dead.  They aren't tweeting from their account.  A search on twitter or Google doesnt really bring much back apart from some launch material and articles.
I'm now left hoping that they didn't do a hard search on me and that my personal details they have are safe with them. :-/

I would avoid after this experience!!!
