Ancient gas meter

I've got an ancient prepayment gas meter in my house. A boiler repair man mentioned that I maybe ought to get a new one fitted.

Who do I contact? I don't pay for gas to the gas board but Bulb Energy. Should I contact them or someone else? And will I have to pay for the new meter?

Thanks

Contact Bulb Energy, tell them that you would like a smart meter installed and also put on a standard tariff, not a prepayment - Prepayment meters are an expensive way of getting energy.

Treasure the moments that you have. Savour them for as long as you can for they will never come back again.
  • WHOOPS ... I totally forgot to say, I don't pre-pay, I get a monthly bill from Bulb. It's just that the meter was originally built for prepayments.

Thanks FreeBear I will ring them now.

  • The CH engineer thought it was older than him!

Mind you he was only a whippersnapper of about 40!

    Hi,

can you stick up a photie?

I can't get into the tiny space in the corner in the dark. I will ask someone to do it for me.
