Ancient gas meter

I've got an ancient prepayment gas meter in my house. A boiler repair man mentioned that I maybe ought to get a new one fitted.
Who do I contact? I don't pay for gas to the gas board but Bulb Energy. Should I contact them or someone else? And will I have to pay for the new meter?
Thanks

Contact Bulb Energy, tell them that you would like a smart meter installed and also put on a standard tariff, not a prepayment - Prepayment meters are an expensive way of getting energy. Her courage will change the world.
Treasure the moments that you have. Savour them for as long as you can for they will never come back again.0 -
WHOOPS ... I totally forgot to say, I don't pre-pay, I get a monthly bill from Bulb. It's just that the meter was originally built for prepayments.
Thanks FreeBear I will ring them now.0 -
Hi,
how ancient, coin meter?0 -
The CH engineer thought it was older than him!
Mind you he was only a whippersnapper of about 40!0 -
There will be a date on the meter.0
