service pack download probs

A program told me that I need to download a service pack... but due to comp probs... I can's seem to be able to do that....i need.............http://update.microsoft.com/microsoftupdate/v6/default.aspx .........is there anyother way to get this?

how can you check what version of IE you have etc and what service pack.... I think I need a service pack....Use your judgement, and above all, be honest with yourself.

The Service Pack availability is not an issue. It's the installation on a possibly infected machine that may be an issue.0

As Donnie says, if it's a Windows service pack you need updating then you've really got to clear your pc first as service pack 2 has been out for over 3 years and I'd be amazed if your pc wasn't infected (and possibly spamming all of us). Go through the malware removal sticky first before installing. (Ideally you should really just download sp2, reinstall windows from scratch and then install sp2 straight away)."She is quite the oddball.
