What do you mean by entry date? Are you moving property?Indecision is the key to flexibility0

If you're staying with Sky and moving house it's up to Sky to move the phone number from your old line to your new line. Nothing to do with BT whatsoever.
If you're leaving BT and joining Sky it's also up to Sky to request the number be ported in to them when they take over the line.A kind word lasts a minute, a skelped erse is sair for a day.0 -
AFAIK, Sky don’t offer moving your existing Sky phone number with you if you change address, keeping them as your provider , and both the old address and new address are served from the same local exchange, with Sky , I’m pretty sure you get a new Sky phone number at the new address.
If the number you currently have is actually a ‘BT’ number that was ported to Sky at some point in the past at your current address, and the new address is the same exchange as the old address, ( and you want to keep the number )you could migrate to BT at your current address, then use BT’s home mover service, but that would complicate things especially if you have already contacted Sky, and somehow I doubt you would consider BT as your provider, so basically you will get a different number when you move.
Sky asking you to contact BT is absolute nonsense , and will achieve nothing ( apart from confusing the BT rep that answers the phone call ) and if you consider what Sky are asking you to do ( contacting a competitor company that has absolutely no relationship with you ) is BS0
